Painting

My work is a reflection of the places I love. I’m inspired by the shapes, colours and textures I see in the world around me. These I record in sketchbooks, with photography and by collecting found objects.

My painting process starts with free brush work, creating texture and shape. I then build up thin layers using fluid paint and glazes. I scratch back into the layers to reveal interesting marks and textures underneath.
