About me

I am a landscape artist who has also studied Art History at the University of Oxford. I work mainly in oils, but also use mixed media and monoprinting.

Recently my work has focussed on the elements and their links to renewable technologies: air for wind power, fire and earth for geothermal energy, and water for hydropower. I take initial inspiration from landscapes which encompass these elements: the wind farms of the UK, the volcanic regions of Tenerife and Iceland and Cornwall’s coast. I home in on the colour contrasts and dynamic shapes of these places to create pieces charged with energy and hope.

I take part in Oxfordshire Artweeks annually and exhibit regularly in local Art Exhibitions. In 2021, my wind energy painting ‘Our Hope For Years To Come’ was exhibited at COP26, in Glasgow (for more information see exhibition page).

2023/2024 I took part in the Professional Landscape Artist Programme at The Newlyn School of Art, Cornwall which finished with a successful group show ‘CONTOURS’ at the Tremenheere Gallery in Penzance.
