An article about my work in OX MAGAZINE September 2022

COP 26

My painting 'Our Hope For Years To Come' was exhibited at COP26 in Glasgow. All part the drive to save us from catastrophic global warming.

I was commissioned by the Global Wind Energy Council GWEC to create a painting ofinspired by Rampion Offshore Wind Farm near Brighton. A special boat trip out to the turbines followed where I sketched and took photos. The painting was finished by mid October and then started its journey up to Glasgow. It was exhibited on the GWEC stand at the heart of the Climate Conference and then auctioned.

In April the painting travelled to the Global Wind Energy Conference in Bilbao, Spain for a formal handover from GWEC to Sedna Wind who won the online auction, it is now on its way to Victoria, Canada. The money raised will help fund women in the wind industry…..it sold for £3000.

I'm so pleased to have had my work shown at such important events and hope it will help more people to see not only the huge energy potential but also the beauty of these majestic gentle giants.

Framed prints of the painting are available to buy.
